The new CAREL inverter wins the prestigious ICONIC Award: innovation serving sustainability

CAREL is pleased to announce its recent victory at the prestigious ICONIC Awards, the first independent international architecture and design competition that recognises the interactions between different disciplines. The award went to the new three-phase inverter with active PFC, in recognition of the innovations introduced by the product and its design.

The new CAREL solution is a three-phase inverter that features an active filtering phase with low harmonic current content, designed to control the compressors installed in residential heat pumps. Compatibility with class A3 flammable refrigerants makes it versatile and suitable for a wide range of applications, hence promoting greater environmental sustainability. It also features a flexible cooling system for the power section, ensuring reliable and continuous operation. Finally, one of the distinctive features is its ability to minimise network distortions and remain isolated from external disturbance. This not only improves energy efficiency, but also extends the compressors’ working range, ensuring constant delivery of current by the inverter.

This prestigious recognition confirms CAREL’s commitment to supplying cutting-edge solutions that not only improve performance, but also make a significant contribution to lowering the environmental impact of residential heat pumps.
