Luigi Nalini at the 16th Air-conditioning Day

Luigi Nalini, CAREL founder and CEO, has been invited to take part in the 16th Air-conditioning Day, organised by the Portuguese Association of Engineers. The event, to be held on 20 October in Lisbon, is intended for designers, installers and legislators, with the purpose of promoting the importance of humidification in air-conditioning.

The morning session, moderated by Manuel Abecasis and entitled ‘The importance of water in air-conditioning’, will include a presentation by Luigi Nalini, author of the book ‘Air humidification’, translated into seven languages. Nalini’s speech on ‘Air humidity control’ underlines the need for correct humidity control to ensure personal comfort, correct preservation of artworks and food and optimisation of industrial processes. His presentation looks at isothermal and adiabatic systems, the two main humidification processes.

The choice of the most suitable humidification system depends on the specific requirements of each site, and cannot depend solely on upfront costs: experience has taught us that best results often come with solutions that may require a higher initial investment, due to air-conditioning system efficiency, control system precision and, above all, routine maintenance quality and frequency.
