CAREL invests in the future: latest generation robots installed

The company’s Brugine plant has seen the introduction of two latest-generation mechatronic robots. This pilot project involves the installation of an anthropomorphic robot and a collaborative robot (cobot), innovative equipment integrated into the production process and capable of interacting with personnel, who will thus not be replaced but rather assigned to more professional tasks with higher added value.

To ensure the highest possible quality, the new robots will be used in processes requiring constant precision, accuracy and compliance with specifications to levels that would not otherwise be ensured if performed manually. The minimum objectives are a 70% reduction in defects and a 30% increase in efficiency.

“The introduction of these types of robots is quite unique in the manufacturing of air-conditioning and refrigeration control systems, again proving how Carel has always focused on innovation as the means for increasing productivity and competitiveness”, commented Francesco Nalini, Carel Group Managing Director. “These new collaborative robots not only bring numerous advantages to the production processes, but also offer new employment opportunities involving completely new technological and managerial tasks.”
