New transcritical CO2 system inaugurated in Buenos Aires

A new commercial refrigeration system using CAREL technology has been recently inaugurated at a Walmart supermarket in Buenos Aires.
This transcritical CO2 system is result of the long-term partnership between EPTA and CAREL in Argentina. CAREL controllers installed on EPTA systems help ensure excellent performance in terms of energy saving and efficiency (COP), through the use of integrated parallel compression technology.

Using just one single controller to manage the compressors rack and thus the three suction lines means more effective synchronisation and a faster response in activating/deactivating the parallel compression function, an essential aspect in reducing system power consumption at these latitudes.

The willingness of the Walmart chain to try out transcritical CO2 solutions opens the way for further pioneering environmentally-friendly investments in South America.
A fundamental role in this regard can be played by partners such as CAREL and EPTA, exploiting their experience acquired in the sector and their expertise in high-efficiency solutions.
