Carel receives the 2009 Marco Polo Prize
The President of the Padova Chamber of Commerce, Roberto Furlan, presented Maurizio Manenti from Carel with the Marco Polo prize, awarded by the Veneto region Unioncamere to the "company that showed the highest level of commitment and the most significant results in foreign trade in 2008". The prize, an artistic plaque made by the sculptor Veroi symbolising the adventures of Venice traveller Marco Polo in far away lands, is awarded annually to Veneto businesses that make a significant contribution to the development of international trade in the Region, in the areas of industry, trades, food and agriculture, tourism and services.
