CAREL is a GOLD sponsor of the Padova Marathon

CAREL is a GOLD sponsor of the Padova Marathon, taking place on Sunday 19 April 2020. Held this year for the 21st time, this competition attracts over 250,000 people: running enthusiasts, as well as families and companions of the participants, from a total of 50 different countries. The CAREL name will be highlighted along the marathon and half marathon courses, but also in the Expo Village set up in Prato della Valle from 17 to 19 April.

The decision by the CAREL Group to partner an established sporting event in the city of Padova is further testimony to CAREL’s links to its local territory. Supporting the Padova Marathon is also a way to share some of the values that the Group recognises in itself, and that are an integral part of sport and the marathon in particular: respect, passion and grit, as well as care for the environment.

“This is the first time that CAREL has partnered an international event that is not strictly related to our business areas”, stated Francesco Nalini, CEO. “The marathon, and running in general, are very popular activities at CAREL. Indeed in 2019 we organised a solidarity run: together we ran and/or walked a total of fifty thousand kilometres, with the aim of raising money for the Cornelia de Lange onlus association that offers support to children affected by this disease, as well as their families. This year, in addition to being a part of the Padova Marathon, we have also planned a solidarity relay for employees: the money raised will go to Care & Share Italia Onlus Ong”.
