CAREL awarded for innovation
CAREL has been awarded a Special Mention by the Technical Jury in the fourth "Business Innovation Prize" (IxI - Imprese x l'Innovazione): The IxI Prize, established by CONFINDUSTRIA (the main Italian organisation representing manufacturing and services companies) in collaboration with APQI (Italian Quality Awards Association) and industry experts, makes a significant contribution towards spreading a culture of innovation within the Italian manufacturing system.
This is an important national recognition, being assessed using a model based on the framework for innovation defined by the EFQM – European Foundation for Quality Management. This tried-and-tested model of excellence is in fact internationally recognised not only for assessing an organisation's "status" in relation to Quality and Innovation, but also for developing business culture.
By awarding 10 Italian companies, once again this year the Prize's objective has been achieved: to promote and disseminate organisational and strategic models focused specifically on growth through innovation, to create a business culture by offering a reference framework for excellence in the management of innovation, and to improve company performance using a self-diagnostic tool that helps identify opportunities to develop its own innovation capacity.
The Awards Ceremony for the fourth Business Innovation Prize will be held on 20 July 2011 from 9:30 to 13:30 at CONFINDUSTRIA headquarters (Viale dell'Astronomia 30, Rome - Pininfarina Room).
The IxI Prize is recognised by the National Prize for Innovation established by the Prime Minister under mandate of the President of the Republic.
