A medal for sustainability

CAREL has been awarded the silver medal by ECOVADIS, one of the world’s largest and most trusted providers of environmental sustainability assessments, with over 90,000 companies assessed in more than 190 countries.

The ECOVADIS assessment involved analysis of four aspects (Environment, Personnel and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement), resulting in the Group being ranked in the top 23% of companies in its sector.

For CAREL this is a significant achievement that above all rewards its long-term strategy, the cornerstone of which is and will continue to be environmental sustainability over the coming years. Furthermore it underlines the excellent results obtained in ESG (Environment - Social - Governance) resulting from continuous activities at all levels, from strategic to operational, activities that have accelerated considerably since the company was listed on the stock exchange in June 2018. Finally, it represents an excellent starting point for continuous improvement in the Group’s sustainability practices, the main objectives of which are described in the first “Multi-year Sustainability Plan - Driven by the Future”, presented at the end of 2021.
