50 for winning: CAREL’s contest to celebrate its first 50 years
CAREL was founded in 1973 by 4 partners. Initially called C.AR.EL, an acronym standing for Costruzioni ARmadi ELettrici (electric panel construction), the name reflected the company’s desire to exploit the opportunity of manufacturing electrical panels in north-eastern Italy. This intuition led to half a century of milestones and achievements that have made the company the multinational it is today, and that today CAREL wants to acknowledge by organising a contest to celebrate its history and its goals.
The “50 for winning” contest begins this Monday, 16 October, and will be online until 4 December. It involves eight questions on the milestones that have defined the company’s evolution over the last fifty years. By answering all the questions correctly, participants will have the chance to automatically win a tree a day, to donate to the planet, through the Treedom platform: 50 trees will be selected and planted, and each winner will be able to give it a name and follow its growth. An initiative that CAREL has decided to launch to mark the celebrations and reflect its support for sustainability, thus thanking the planet above all and giving back something green every day, for every winner.
Participants will have also another chance to win: everyone who gets the eight questions right, will also enter the final draw to win fantastic gift vouchers for stays with hotelgift.
