Atmosphere Europe 2012
As part of Carel's ongoing attention to environmental issues, in particular global warming, and to help promote the use of natural refrigerants, Carel took part in and sponsored Atmosphere Europe 2012, held in Brussels from 5 to 7 November.
The event was attended by the main European players involved in the use of natural refrigerants, including representatives of the European Commission and international environmental agencies, leading supermarket chains, system and equipment manufacturers and suppliers of components, and confirmed the availability of technological solutions for the use of natural refrigerants Europe-wide, with special emphasis on applications in places with high outdoor temperatures.
Various solutions were presented to further encourage the adoption of natural refrigerants, in particular transcritical CO2 systems for food retail applications, the use of increasingly simple and interactive control systems, user interfaces that reflect the latest innovations in other sectors, solutions for small condensing units, and evaporative cooling (chillBooster) to increase efficiency in warmer climates.
Special interest was shown in the publication of the proposed new European F-gas regulation.
