Seasons' Greetings

Here at CAREL, 2016 was very important: we opened a new branch in Thailand in February, we officially inaugurated the production site in Croatia in November and, right in the middle, we celebrated 15 years of activity of CAREL USA and 20 years of the Australian and German branches.

We took part in 40 exhibitions, in events all around the world and in international fairs, with thousands of visitors, such as MCE, China Refrigeration and Chillventa. For the first time we strengthened our presence in the countries of Maghreb and started taking part in exhibitions in Malaysia and the Philippines.

We also promoted and sponsored conferences and conventions aiming at influencing the process for defining international standards and for implementing directives with trade associations. Being on the forefront as for F-gas and Ecodesign standards, we actively took part in the conferences regarding natural refrigerants and sustainable technologies.

Following this path, we extended the solution for condensing unit, so that it was available for CO2 as well, and, together with Carrier, we introduced the new modulating ejector. 
As for mobile ready and supervision solutions, we launched boss, the new supervisor with integrated Wi-Fi, which can be used by any mobile device. At AHR Expo Innovation Awards we won in the refrigeration category with Heos, the innovative system for commercial refrigeration. We know that we already went through to the finals in 2017 too with EVD ice, again in the refrigeration category.

We moved many steps forward for the daily management of processes as well, extending our Lean philosophy to new company areas and creating international work groups. Two Cooperative robots were added to the production line, for reaching high standards in those processing steps that require consistent precision and accuracy and for satisfying requirements that could not be complied with in case of manual process. 

It was an eventful year, rich in successes and important targets, experiencing growth and reciprocal comparison. Hopefully 2017 will start under a lucky star.
