New digital format for CAREL books available online

Years on from the publication of the books ‘Air humidification' and ‘Evaporative cooling', CAREL now presents them in a digital version. Both volumes result from the desire to make CAREL experience and knowledge available to a broad audience, with the aim of contributing to the spread of a scientific knowledge seen as the preserve of a few. The books were written to highlight the importance of humidification control even in daily life. It suffices to consider the impact of humidity on personal well-being and health or its impact on the quality of production processes.

 "We're a tech company and continuous improvement is an essential component of our genetic make-up," comments Luigi Nalini, CEO of CAREL and co-author of the texts. "Making the books available in digital format is a natural adaptation, obligatory in a certain sense. E-books also have advantages in terms of energy saving and greater accessibility, in keeping with our desire to share knowledge."

Internationally recognised and presented in various academic contexts, the volumes are available in several languages including Chinese, German, French and Spanish, in addition – naturally – to English. "I hope that taking this work up again and editing it in e-book format will contribute to wider scientific and technical knowledge of this issue, so important in many applications, from well-being in the home to the requirements of industrial processing," states Prof. Lazzarin. "This new format allows us to reach a greater number of people with practically no impact on the environment and with users being able to acquire the text simply and conveniently."
