CAREL drives the new Bitzer Schaufler academy with CO2 innovative systems

Bitzer has recently opened the SCHAUFLER Academy, a new 1.500 m2 training center in Rottenburg-Ergenzingen, Germany, focusing on the use of the latest cutting-edge technology and energy innovations. BITZER, Fischer and CAREL INDUSTRIES joined forces to develop a working commercial refrigeration system at the new training center, complete with cabinets (medium and low temperature) and a transcritical CO2 compressor rack. The electronic components fitted on the compressor rack allow the use of the most advanced energy-efficiency technology, such as parallel compressor with variable set point and heat recovery.

“The complexity of BITZER compressors and products is always increasing, for example due to the integrated frequency inverters, electronic components and new CO2 systems. Technically demanding solutions also require a well-trained service staff. The SCHAUFLER Academy will be the central training location for customers and employees from all over the world. Here we’ll offer the training courses that keep the maintenance teams of our business partners up to date.” - says Rainer Große-Kracht, Chief Technology Officer at BITZER .

The CAREL electronics installed at the SCHAUFLER Academy represent the ultimate in in terms of innovation and avant-garde technology. “We are very pleased to have contributed to the development of the new BITZER training center”, stated Nicola Pieretti, Application Specialist. “CAREL has proven again to be the ideal partner in the development of systems with high technological innovation and fundamental in providing specialist support for such a cutting-edge training centre as the Academy in Rottenburg”.

At ATMOsphere Asia, CAREL highlighted its CO2 solutions installed at the BITZER new training center. In his speech entitled “High efficiency integrated parallel compressor for CO2 systems”, Tadao Sekiguchi underlined the efficiency and reliability of the solutions that CAREL proposes for natural refrigerant-CO2 applications.
