CAREL presents its own case study at the first sino-italian workshop

The Carel Group will be bringing its experience to the First Sino-Italian Workshop on Sustainable Manufacturing, to be held on Saturday 14 November at the SJTU university campus in Shanghai, organised and sponsored by the Italian Embassy together with Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and with the collaboration of the China–Italy Chamber of Commerce.

This important workshop has been organised as part of the bilateral scientific and technological cooperation between the two countries, for the purpose of consolidating links between Italy and China on the current topic of “sustainable manufacturing”; in fact, both countries have high demand for and are important suppliers of machine tools, machinery and heavy equipment.

At the event, in addition to representatives from Carel and leading Chinese manufacturers, speakers will include the Italian Education Minister, Stefania Giannini, and academic representatives of several Italian universities (Milan Polytechnic, Bari Polytechnic, Marche Polytechnic, University of Palermo), research centres (CNR) and research platforms (Intelligent Factory – national cluster).

Roberto Sandano, Carel Group HVAC OEM Business Unit Manager, will address the workshop on the topic of “High efficiency technologies for process cooling”, demonstrating how the highly efficient technologies developed by Carel for the air-conditioning sector, in particular for process temperature control, can make a significant contribution to reducing the use of materials and energy resources in manufacturing systems.
