As for the other thermostats in the “ir Universal” series, these
too can be used with different types of temperature probes
(NTC, PT100, thermocouples).
The fundamental characteristic of this series is the possibility to control
the more commonly used solid state relays, or alternatively the optional Carel
modules (CONVONOFF0 and CONV0/1000).
Each output can be connected to a different CONV* module for the management
of mixed configurations (relay, 0 to10Vdc, 4 to 20mA, solid state relay). As
well as the ability to use the outputs (up to 4) with PWM and integral control
featured as standard, these instruments are also effective in a range of different
applications, such as the control of ovens, the control of modulating valves,
the control of on/off actuators or for alarm outputs.
Moreover these instruments can be connected to any transducer able to supply
a current (0 to 20 mA or 4 to 20 mA) or voltage signal (0 to 1 Vdc) for the
measurement and control of physical values such as the pressure
and humidity.
The models with voltage inputs, using the additional CONV0/1 module, can also
accept transducers with a 0 to 10 Vdc output signal.
