For the pCO series hardware applications CAREL is capable of supplying a vast
range of standard software applications, specifically designed to respond to
the more common control requirements in the refrigeration and air-conditioning
• modular chillers with screw or semi-hermetic compressors;
• compressor packs;
• air handling units;
• roof top units;
• maturing rooms.
CAREL has developed the EasyTools system, a software development
package that allows an infinite range of custom settings: from simple modifications
made to standard applications, to the complete development of the control algorithm
and the user interface.
CAREL provides a wide range of “macro-blocks” for developing functions,
even complex ones, that have been tested. Each user can define their own library
of functions, making the compilation of the software. The autonomy of development,
finally, guarantees the privacy of the final software. In summary, the advantages
of EasyTools system are:

EasyTools system includes four main environments (tools) for defining or
modifying the control algorithm of the units, simulating the operation of
the software and developing applications in a local network.
Furthermore, EasyTools system includes accessory tools for the creation
and management of the projects and to transfer the software developed to
the pCO sistema series controllers. Each environment is dedicated to the
development of a specific function of the software application, and the
integration between the different environments means that the entire control
software of the units can be developed quickly and easily.

The application software to be implemented to dialogue with an external
supervisory system. In this way, the pCO sistema series controllers can
provide information on the controlled measurements, signal any malfunctions
or request service, and receive remote control signals. The communication
protocol to be used can be selected by the user directly during the development.
The measurements that are to be monitored over time can be selected. The
user can choose which of these measurements to save and define or modify
the rules for saving such data. The data collected by the controller to
be transferred to a personal computer for further processing.
Management of humidifiers and electronic valve drivers
EasyTools system allows the entire range of the CAREL OEM humidifiers
to be managed quickly and completely. Management is simplified by the
use of a special macro-block developed by CAREL that is used to select
the model of humidifier, automatically set the operating parameters and
read the most important measurements for the user.
