plug-in is the new range of CAREL controllers for
static or ventilated refrigeration units operating at normal or low temperatures. plug-in is an innovative product in the sense that
it provides the manufacturer: advanced electronics, high performance in the
control of refrigeration units, custom design solutions and a reduction in production
costs. plug-in is completed by the new models that can directly manage compressors
of up to 2 Hp.
These represent the response to market requirements for applications in which
there is the need to reduce the number of electrical components in the “refrigerating
appliance”, so as to decrease costs, assembly times and component management.
plug-in has been designed for the manufacturer and
installer, so that it reduces the final costs of the product by saving handling
costs (less product codes) and simplifying the production phases, above all:
• the mechanical assembly and wiring;
• the setting of the operating parameters;
• the final testing of the refrigeration unit.
It allows:
• the customisation of the design, while maintaining the standardisation
of the components and the production process.
It guarantees the end user:
• simple operation;
• electrical safety;
• compliance with the industry standards (HACCP, EN 441).

Innovative assembly system
plug-in can be fastened directly from the front, by simply using two screws
(patented easy mounting system).
The instrument fits in a 29x71 mm opening, the market standard. Fast and reliable connections
Guaranteed by removable connectors (crimped or screw-on) for fast and

in the standardisation and construction of the electrical panel. In fact,
these types of electrical connections, together with
assembly from the front, allow the final assembly phase of the instrument
to be performed at the end of the production line.
Electrical safety
CAREL has always paid special attention to the safety of its products:
this is why this controller is fitted with an internal
transformer that ensures double insulation.
Other solutions without internal transformers (despite having lower costs
and smaller dimensions) do not guarantee the safety of the user, as the
insulation of the probes from the power supply cannot be ensured.
Simple operation and extensiveinformation
High efficiency display and keypad with status indicators, offering the
end user the advantages of simple operation, together with a large quantity
of information on the operating status of the refrigeration unit controlled.
Innovative appearance and customisation
The frames are available in a vast range of colours, and can be customised
according to different requirements, with the logo, name and/or in terms
of layout of the manufacturer. In this way, the OEM, without compromising
on the standardisation of the components and the processing of the refrigeration
unit, can easily integrate the controller into the
design of their products.
