CAREL's history extends beyond the Italian borders, and in the period since 1992 the company has established its presence abroad by opening agencies and branches in various different countries in Europe and around the world.
In 1992 the first foreign branch was opened, CAREL France, which handles the French, Belgian and Swiss markets.
In 1996 CAREL Deutschland was founded, the German branch that manages the German, Swiss and Austrian markets.
1998 saw the founding of CAREL SudAmerica and CAREL UK, which handle the Brazilian and British - Irish markets respectively.
In 2000 CAREL CAREL China was established. This branch covers the Far East markets.
Since 2005 we are been operating in China with our production facilities, CAREL Electronic Suzhou.
The latest additions to the CAREL network are the Australian branch, CAREL Australia, and the American branch, CAREL USA, which respectively co-ordinate business in the Oceania and North American and Mexican markets.
The last addition – 2007 - is CAREL IBERICA, which co-ordinate our market in Spain and Portugal.
The branches maintain close contact with the head office in Brugine, receiving procedural directives and sharing confidential information.
Despite the strategic proximity between CAREL headquarters and the branches, the business contexts and the languages used remain very specific.
One of CAREL's more effective strategies is to act locally, with a global approach.
The agencies, spread all over Italy and abroad, have a strictly commercial function and independently manage their relationships with customers, relying on CAREL as the "store" for sourcing the products they sell.
Between branches and agencies there are the CAREL Affiliated Companies. In the past, some agencies/affiliated companies have grown and developed into branches in their own right.
Finally, there is also a group of authorised resellers who distribute the products and publicise the CAREL brand and image in all the areas not covered by the branches and agencies.
